Discovery is a working conversation, not a questionnaire. Before we open a design file we want to understand the shape of your business: who buys, why they buy, what makes them hesitate, and what a successful outcome looks like six months after launch. Everything downstream (the pages we build, the copy we write, the metrics we watch) comes out of this step.
Activities in this step
A 60-minute working session covering your goals, audience, competitors, and the problems the current site is causing.
Where useful, we talk to a sales lead, a customer, or a partner to hear the story from more than one angle.
If your site is live, we pull the last 90 days of traffic and behavior data so decisions are grounded in what visitors actually do.
A short pass through 3 to 5 competitors so we know the ceiling to clear and the traps to avoid.
A one-page written brief you sign off on: audience, positioning, primary conversion, success metrics, and scope guardrails.

What we need from you
About 2 hours of your time across a kickoff call and one review round.
Why this step matters
You walk out with a written plan you understand and agree with. If a stakeholder later asks 'why did we build it this way?', the answer is in the brief.
